SUBSTANCE: object locating device comprises a projection image unit, a projection image recognition unit, an object function unit, an object function converting unit and a locating object. An object navigation device, having markers, comprises an object locating device and an object navigation unit. A method of locating an object comprises steps of providing a projection image, recognising projected markers and a projected image in the projection image; providing an object function along the x-z coordinates; modifying the function such that the distance between the x-z coordinates along the object function is converted into the distance between object markers by changing the z coordinate and locating the object. A method for navigation of an object, having markers, comprises steps of locating the object and performing navigation of the object depending on the found position of the object. A data medium for locating an object and a data medium for navigation of an object comprises a computer program written on the data medium.
EFFECT: invention enables location using fewer projection images.
