SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to visualized data on object. Method comprises steps that provide preliminary navigation data of object investigation field, note here that preliminary navigation data contains spatial geometrical data and surface of functional parameters, obtain data of live image of the investigated region, detect tool in the live image data, define spatial relation of preliminary navigation data and live image data, identify the position of the detected tool in spatial geometrical data and the predetermine corresponding location point on the surface of the functional parameters, generate a combination of simplified representation of the surface of the area under examination, the simplified representation of the surface is based on the viewing surface functional parameters, and marker indicating calculated predetermined corresponding location point of the tool. Simplified representation of the surface is an image of an open map, then combination is displayed as navigation instruction. Device includes processing and interface units, and a display. Medical imaging system comprises a device and image capturing means for data capture live image of the investigated area. Machine-readable carrier holds computer program elements stored in it.
EFFECT: using the inventions enables extending spatial information on object position.
