FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A prosthetic knee joint comprises an upper part, which has upper connection mechanisms, and a lower portion mounted on the upper part to rotate and having lower connection mechanisms. The prosthetic knee joint is provide with a vacuum pump having an inlet and an outlet and actuated by a relative motion of the upper part in relation to the lower part. The vacuum pump is equipped with an outlet pipe with a back-pressure valve. The vacuum pump is integrated into the upper part and connected to a vacuum trunk.
EFFECT: invention provides better fixation to a thigh stump.
