SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a valuable document comprising a sheet-substrate, at least one side of which comprises at least on a part of its surface a transparent or translucent protective layer called "the first layer", with a matte visual aspect, at that this layer is partially covered with a second protective transparent or translucent layer having a glossy visual aspect. The document is a bank note and comprises a protective element which is a deformation of the said sheet, at that the protective element comprises two adjacent areas with different texture that imparts the said areas the matte aspect and the glossy aspect, respectively, in the mirror reflection, and the said second protective layer covers completely and is aligned with the said area with a glossy aspect.
EFFECT: increase in protection.
