SUBSTANCE: device contains the strength cylinder implemented with a possibility of application of the pushing force to the core along the cable length, set of connecting links in which each connecting link is implemented with a possibility of insertion into the cable along its length under action of the power cylinder for core shift with reference to external sheath of the cable, and also the pulling fixture implemented with a possibility of the application of the pulling force to core thereby to promote extraction of the displaced core from external sheath under action of pushing/pulling forces.
EFFECT: device and the method are especially suitable for extraction of copper core of high-voltage cables, providing the possibility of controlled utilisation of inner sheath with hydrocarbon impregnation, without creating threat to environment.
