FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method includes continuous casting of a tape from low-carbon or low-alloyed steel with continuous movement of liquid steel relative to area of its pouring and crystallisation. The cast tape after crystallisation of steel is cooled down to 950…1100°C, fed into a longitudinal rolling mill stand and pressed to shape a profile in the form of a pair of mutually orthogonal rectangular elements, connected to each other along the radius with a curved section, the large diameter of which, as well as the height of cross section of the formed profile are regulated by mathematical dependences.
EFFECT: increased moment of inertia of a profile during bending and an inertia radius, without variation of material intensity and thickness of profile shelves, increased manufacturability of profile making.
