FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: hot-rolled column H-section comprises two parallel flanges interjointed by wall. Section equal stability and higher reliability are bought about by making it with equal stability along main axes X and Y. Note here that flange width exceeds 29 times flange thickness. Wall materials-output ratio makes 20% of that of the entire section, while wall section height is governed by 4th-degree equation.
EFFECT: improved operating performances of column H-sections used in steel structures of buildings.
