FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method and device for automatic control of movement of warehouse cargo platforms are suggested, and their essence reduces to processing of control results at N test points, at that the warehouse is divided into zones for placement of warehouse cargo platforms, and in these areas test points of platforms availability are assigned, numbered in sequence and currents from each test point are scaled, scaled currents from each test point are summed up in the summation point and transferred through communication channel to data processing facility, where the above current values are converted into proportional voltage, and then voltage proportional to summary coordinates of warehouse cargo platforms placed in the warehouse is subtracted from the above value of proportional voltage, and against voltage value positioning coordinates i are identified for warehouse cargo platforms.

EFFECT: increased productivity and reliability of cargo platforms due to localisation of facilities in real time inside the warehouse and due to increase in number of simultaneously tracked cargo platforms at the warehouse.
