FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing fuel oil viscosity at negative temperature is characterized by the fact that mechanical impact on fuel oil is performed due to rotational and reciprocal action of the mixer submerged to a tank with fuel oil equipped with cutting blades, propellers or blades, at that mechanical treatment is performed at temperature of fuel oil below 0°C during 1-3 minutes.
EFFECT: improved viscosity of fuel oil at negative temperature and reduced energy consumption and labour costs for unloading of fuel oil from tanks of random design and dimensions.
