FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: translating contact lens pair for treating presbyopia comprises a first and a second contact lens, each including an optical zone having a distance vision subzone and a near or intermediate vision subzone, a peripheral zone and an edge zone, and having a set of optical zone properties. Values of at least one of property in the sets of properties of the first and second lenses differ from each other. The optical zone of each contact lens is asymmetrical relative to the vertical meridian of the contact lens. The arrangement of the distance vision or intermediate vision subzones in the optical zones of the first and second lenses is asymmetrical.
EFFECT: higher acuity at far, intermediate and near distances with reduced or average translations, and which provides improved wearing comfort.
