METHOD FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE TREATMENT OF VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY OF LOWER LIMBS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B18/20

Abstract RU 2570291 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: presence or absence of vertical reflux is pre-determined through main trunks of superficial veins. That is followed by obliterations of trunks of superficial veins with vertical refluxes. Ultrasonic visualisation of a perforating vein is followed by intraoperative application of a pneumatic cuff above the perforating vein; the pneumatic cuff is used to achieve a complete stagnation of the blood flow in over- and underlying inflows. The perforating vein is punctured under ultrasonic control; foam form of 3% Aethoxysklerol 2 ml prepared according to Tessari technique is introduced through a catheter at 0.5 ml/s until the underlying veins are filled completely. A front laser waveguide is introduced into the catheter, and laser coagulation of the perforating vein is performed.

EFFECT: method enables less injuries by reducing the number of shin punctures to one, providing a possibility of simultaneous obliteration of the perforating vein and underlying punctures, relieving pain syndrome, and shortening the length of staying in hospital.
