SUBSTANCE: plasticiser blends comprise a three-component composition, which is suitable in a combination with a plurality of thermoplastic polymers, thermosetting polymers and elastomeric polymers, and for numerous applications, including but not limited to plastisols, adhesives, sealants, building coatings, industrial coatings, manufacturer-applied coatings, inks, overprint varnishes and the like. The plasticiser three-component composition contains diethylene glycol dibenzoate, dipropylene glycol dibenzoate and 1,2-propylene glycol dibenzoate. The advantages rendered by the use of said three-component blend depend on the type of polymer and application in which it is used.
EFFECT: higher solvating power, shorter processing time, low content of volatile organic compounds, reduced plasticiser freeze point, improved gelation and fusion characteristics, higher tensile strength, excellent stain and extraction resistance, and improved rheology.
