SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ester-based plasticizer, a process for its preparation and its use for the preparation of polymer compositions, such as adhesives of plastisol sealants, sealants, vinyl and other polymer compositions. Plasticizer contains low molecular weight oligomeric dibenzoates obtained by blocking the ends of a polyester plasticizer containing alternating structural units of glycols or diols and dibasic acids with benzoic acid. Disclosed are also processes for the preparation of oligomeric dibenzoates, comprising the steps of reducing the amount or removal of residual hydroxyl groups and improving the performance of the plasticizer by adding acetic anhydride. Especially useful are polyesters of propylene glycol adipate and propylene glycol succinate with terminal blocking groups of benzoic acid, as well as polyesters that are blocked by heterogeneous benzoate/acetate end groups, and obtained in the process with acetic anhydride. Composite compounds, adhesives, sealants and vinyl compositions containing oligomeric blocked at the ends polyesters of the present invention are also contemplated.
EFFECT: plasticizer based on polyesters with terminal blocking groups of benzoic acid is proposed.
