FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: claimed brake assembly comprises two automatic anti-recoil brakes. Every brake comprises bearing lever articulated with vehicle frame by the plate with adjustment device and provided with moving friction element arranged at its end, and braking lever connected with bearing lever for control purposes. Said braking and bearing levers are integrated and coupled with friction element. Pivots of braking lever and friction element are also integrated to make, in fact, a two-arm locking pawl. The latter is secured at mount plate with the help of hinge to lock at least one limiting stop and spring at three positions, i.e. nonworking, disengaged working position and engaged working position, that is, standby. Note here that wheel tire doubles as the ratchet wheel while locking pawl makes the ratchet. Braking/locking is performed automatically by jamming of the pawl between axle and tire.

EFFECT: simplified design, lower weight and overall dimensions.
