FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of separating and purifying quantum dots enclosed in a silicon oxide envelope includes successive separation of quantum dots, three-fold purification thereof and dilution with bidistilled water. Separation includes centrifuging a microemulsion with synthesised quantum dots and removing the supernatant fluid to obtain a precipitate, and purification includes successive dilution of the precipitate, mixing, centrifuging and removal of the supernatant fluid, wherein alcohol is used for dilution during the first and second purification, the alcohol used being ethanol, or propanol, or butanol; ethanol is used for dilution during the third purification, and after diluting the purified quantum dots with bidistilled water, ultrasonic treatment is carried out for 30 min. Centrifuging during separation of quantum dots is carried out at 7000-11500 rpm and 5-15°C for 10-30 min, and centrifuging during purification is carried out at 7000 rpm and 20°C for 15 min.
EFFECT: increasing the number and improving the quality of nanoparticles stabilised in aqueous media.
