FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: claimed projectile is shaped to swept finned body made of the strong and high-density material, fins being made of traditional structural alloys. Claimed process consists in the application of the projectile body two armour-piercing parts. The projectile body second part is arranged in the charge case. The first parties arranged so that at depression of electric trigger the signal is transmitted via electric conductors to the trigger to ignite the powder charge. Powder gases act on the projectile second part to drive it. The projectile body second part thrust penetrates the charge case and projectile body cover. The projectile body second part thrust acts on the projectile body first part bore to eject the first body part from the projectile body. The projectile body is driven to muzzle velocity. The projectile body weight and length are increased at projectile exit from the barrel bore, the projectile body being stabilized by the fins.
EFFECT: higher armour-piercing efficiency.
