FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, namely to armor-piercing sub-calibre shells. Armor-piercing sub-calibre shell includes arrow-shaped finned projectile made from strong and high-density material, and fins of traditional structural alloys. Shell comprises container with liquid solution and projectile body with magnetic pads located in it, using power supply unit rechargeable by charger device. After depressing of electric trigger signal is transmitted to winding, electromagnetic field is created, which influences magnetic pads on projectile body, projectile body is rotated, powder charge is ignited, projectile body is given initial velocity, shell body is stabilized at projectile exit from barrel channel.
EFFECT: higher penetration capability of shell is achieved.
