FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation, particularly to aircraft landing systems. The laser-based landing system comprises an electric power unit, a course laser emitter, two lateral laser emitters and an optical generator. The first lateral laser emitter is located near one of the lateral sides of the landing strip and generates a first glide slope beam. The optical generator is situated on the other side of the landing strip and generates a second glide slope beam which is symmetrical to the first. The second lateral emitter is situated next to the first and its beam is directed towards the optical generator. The first lateral laser emitter can be further provided with a beam splitter for generating a beam directed towards the optical generator.
EFFECT: shorter time for assembling and dismantling the system.
