FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: underwater pressure increase system is suggested for operation at remote distance more than 40 km, and the above system comprises at least one underwater cable transmitting electric energy that passes from the closer end placed at dry place at the land or at upper surface of surface object up to the farther end placed near one or more underwater load such as underwater pumps, underwater compressors or another loads. At that power supply source is connected to the closer end to supply electric energy of direct frequency and dimensions of the cable are selected on condition of operation at the same frequency or lower frequency; when operated at this frequency decreasing device is coupled to the closer end of the cable in order to control Ferranti effect and electric loss. Besides, the system comprises active electric frequency converter coupled functionally between the farthest end of the cable and underwater loads. At that the above converter is placed in high-pressure vessel and it converts operating frequency of the cable into frequency sufficient for actuation of the coupled underwater loads.

EFFECT: excluded impact of Ferranti effect and skin effect in order to transmit power to equipment placed at large distance from the power supply source.
