FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely auto-injectors for liquid drug dosing. An injector comprises: tube case, a support subassembly, an overlying initiator cuff, an adjustment spring, four locks. The support subassembly comprises a tubular support element sliding in relation to the case and partially built therein; the support element comprises a syringe with a hollow injection needle, an actuating spring and a piston used to direct an actuating spring load onto a syringe retainer, wherein the syringe is fixed with the support element for a joined axial motion. The overlying initiator cuff superposes a distal end of the auto-injector (1) and extends at least almost throughout the length of the auto-injector. The adjustment spring surrounds the support element. The first lock couples a proximal end of the adjustment spring with either the support element to advance it in order to insert the needle, or the case to draw the needle back, depending on the relative axial position of the support and the initiator cuff. The second lock ensures releasing the actuating spring for injection when the support element is almost found near an injection depth while inserting the needle. The third lock makes it possible to couple the case and support element for the joined axial displacement in relation to the initiator cuff; the third lock enables detaching the case and support element from each other when the initiator cuff moves in the proximal direction in relation to the case thereby releasing the adjustment spring for inserting the needle. The fourth lock ensures attaching the distal end of the adjustment spring to either the support element for drawing the needle back, or the initiator cuff if otherwise.
EFFECT: using invention makes it possible to introduce drugs of different viscosity, including those of high viscosity, and in different amounts, preventing drug outflow from the needle, applying the auto-injector by people having dexterity problems.
