CONTAINER, SOIL MIXTURE AND METHOD OF PLANT CULTIVATION Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A01G1/00 A01G9/10

Abstract RU 2571338 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: container comprises a side wall defining an inner cavity with the outermost outer peripheral size, the top comprising an opening providing access to the cavity and the base, with a depth determined by the distance between the top and the base, the cavity configured for receiving the soil medium and plants grown in the soil medium, and the outer peripheral size of the side wall has a width of about 1.0 to 1.25 inches (from ≈0.025 m to 0.032 m) and a depth of approximately 5.0 to 7.0 inches (from ≈0.13 m to 0.18 m); and a plurality of forming pneumatic openings arranged in the side wall and extending along the side wall, and the forming pneumatic openings are distributed over the entire side wall. The kit comprises a tray and a plurality of containers attached to the tray and supported by it, and each of the containers comprises a soil medium and a plant grown in the soil medium, at least partially in the cavity. The kit comprises a container, soil medium, at least partially filling the cavity, and plant grown in the soil medium. The soil medium comprises approximately 40% peat moss, 30% coconut coir, 30% sawdust of cypress bark and one or more additives of the following additives, where each additive is contained in the range of ±10% of the listed amounts: 5 pounds (2.27 kg) dolomitic limestone per yard (0.914 m) of finished product; 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of gypsum per yard (0.914 m); 4 pounds (1.81 kg) of micronutrients per yard (0.914 m); 18.5 pounds (8.39 kg) of humic acid per yard (0.914 m); and 10 pounds (4.53 kg) NPK additive with slow release per yard (0.914 m). In the container the outermost outer peripheral size of the side wall may have a width of about 4.0 to 6.0 inches (0.101 m to 0.152 m) and a depth of 12.0 inches to 14.0 inches (0.304 meters to 0.36 m). A kit comprises a container, soil medium, at least partially filling the cavity, and a plant grown in the soil medium. A kit comprises a container, soil medium, at least partially filling the cavity, and a plant grown in the soil medium, and the soil medium comprises about 30% peat moss, about 20% coconut coir, about 20% of the pieces of cypress bark, about 20% sawdust of cypress bark and about 10% pearlite, and one or more additives of the following additives, where each additive is contained in the range ±10% of the listed amounts: 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of dolomite limestone per yard (0.914 m); 5 pounds of gypsum (2.27 kg) per yard (0.914 m); 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of coarse, limestone per yard (0.914 m); 4 pounds (1.81 kg) of micronutrients per yard (0.914 m); 18.5 pounds (8.39 kg) of humic acid per yard (0.914 m); and 20 pounds (9.07 kg) of NPK additive with slow release per yard (0.914 m). The soil medium may comprise approximately 30% of the peat moss, 20% coconut coir, 20% cypress bark pieces, 20% sawdust of cypress bark and 10% pearlite and one or more additives of the following additives, where each additive is contained in the range of ±10 % of the listed amounts: 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of dolomitic limestone per yard (0.914 m); 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of gypsum per yard (0.914 m); 5 pounds (2.27 kg) of coarse limestone per yard (0.914 m); 4 pounds (1.81 kg) of micronutrients per yard (0.914 m); 18.5 pounds (8.39 kg) of humic acid per yard (0.914 m); and 20 pounds (9.07 kg) NPK additive with slow release per yard (0.914 m). The method comprises the steps of providing a container, placing the soil medium in the cavity of the container; and placing the seed in the soil medium in which the seed germinates to produce a plant grown in the soil medium. The outer peripheral size of the side wall also has a width of about 4.0 to 6.0 inches (0.101 m to 0.152 m) and a depth of about 12.0 inches to 14.0 inches (0.304 m to 0.36 m). The plants are transplanted into the container so that the root of the plant, at least partially is located in the soil medium, the plant is supported by the soil medium.

EFFECT: inventions enable to increase the rate of plant and root growth, as well as resistance to fungal and microbial infection.
