FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: claimed high-strength castable-and-weldable aluminium alloy contains the following elements, wt %: silicon - 1.0-4.0, magnesium - 1.7-8.0, scandium - 0.1-0.5, cobalt - 0.3-0.6, titanium and/or zirconium - 0.2-1.2, iron - not over 0.4, aluminium making the rest. Note here that scandium-to-titanium and/or zirconium ratio making 1.5-2.5 while that between magnesium and silicon total content and that of cobalt makes 8-14.

EFFECT: higher strength of welded structures.
