FIELD: metallurgy; aluminum alloys of aluminum-magnesium-silicon system; manufacture of articles by molding, rolling, stamping; mechanical engineering; automobile industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed alloy includes the following components, mass-%: magnesium, 0.25-1.5; silicon, 0.3-1.5; titanium, 0.005-0.15; iron, 0.05-0.7; zinc, 0.001-1.0; at least one metal selected from group including nickel and cobalt, 0.001- 0.18; at least one metal selected from group including manganese, 0.001- 1.2; chromium, 0.001-0.35; zirconium, 0.001-0.25; scandium, 0.001- 0.40; the remainder being aluminum; sum Fe+(Ni and/or Co) ≤0,6, ratio Fe/(Ni and/or Co) ≥2, and ratio Fe/Mg ≤2. According to some versions, alloy may include at least one modifying agent and/or at least one hardening metal and/or at least one metal improving machinability of alloy. Proposed method includes production of ingot from aluminum-based alloy, homogenization of ingot at two stages: at first stage at temperature of 480-525 C continued for 10-90 min and at second stage at temperature which is below the solidus line of alloy and rate of heating not exceeding 30 deg/h; method includes also hot deformation heat treatment including hardening and aging.
