FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: C-4 smoke mixture containing a sulphuric anhydride and chlorosulphonic acid with a sulphuric acid impurity is neutralised. The composition is gray gaize containing heulandite, metastilbite, tridymite, calcite and α-quartz. The gaize is modified with 18% aqueous sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide solution in the presence of a quaternary ammonium compound.
EFFECT: composition is prepared from readily available material and ensures safe and effective neutralisation of aggressive chemical compositions and wastes.
