FIELD: chemical processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical processing of larch wood and concerns the sulfation of arabinogalactan. The water-soluble salts of arabinogalactan sulfates are used as blood anticoagulants instead of heparin. Arabinogalactan sulfate is obtained by sulfation of arabinogalactan in a melt mixture of sulfamic acid and urea. Arabinogalactan is added to the melt of a mixture of sulfamic acid and urea at a temperature of 110-125°С and kept with stirring for 0.5 h. The resulting reaction mass is cooled, neutralized with a 5% aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and filtered. The resulting filtrate is purified by dialysis.

EFFECT: duration is reduced, the environmental safety of the sulfation process is increased.
