SUBSTANCE: control method of melting process in electric arc furnace includes stages when weight of melted metal and weight of solid metal are calculated/determined at the given time moment. At that said calculation is based in input values of weights of melted and solid metals, arc power supplied to electric arc furnace, and temperature of melted and solid metal (100). Power of mixing is determined based on calculated/determined weights (200), and definite mixing power is supplied to the electromagnetic mixer (300).

EFFECT: increased capacity and reduced wear of lining.
