FIELD: metallurgical production processes.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of loading charge to furnace bath; heating; pouring melt iron; melting charge and improving melt to desired properties. Said steps are realized at blowing through bath flow of inert or neutral gas supplied with variable rate and density of blowing through layers of porous refractory material placed on bottom along lengthwise axis of bath and forming separate blowing zones; at discharging melt and slag. During steps of loading charge or heating, intensity of bath blowing with inert or neutral gas is sustained in range 0.08 - 0.09 m3/h per 1 MWt of supplied heat power. After pouring melt iron till discharging melt, blast intensity is increased depending upon change of technological parameters to 0.5 - 0.6 m3/h per 1 MWt of supplied heat power. At discharging melt it is possible to remain in furnace part of melt of previous melting. Preferably, blast intensity in central zones of furnace exceeds by 2 - 6 times blast intensity in boundary blowing zones near heads of furnace.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, lowered time period of melting, reduced energy consumption, decreased dust quantity and metal loss, improved quality of melt steel.
