FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in this method to control mode of synchronous machine two operation modes are developed for the synchronous machine in the electric mains, whereby in one mode equality of electromotive force and voltage is ensured at outputs of the synchronous machine either by regulation of excitation and speed, its connection to the mains when voltage at outputs of the synchronous machine, voltage of the synchronous machine and voltage of the network are equal or by regulation of excitation and moment at the shaft of the synchronous machine connected to the electric mains up to the mode with zero current of the synchronous machine. Voltage is measured at outputs of the synchronous machine. In the second mode while excitation current of the synchronous machine remains unchanged the mode of the synchronous machine is changed by changing its moment at the shaft. Voltage, produced or consumed active and reactive power are measured. Calculation of inner inductive resistance of the synchronous machine is made.
EFFECT: determination of the synchronous machine resistance in conditions of normal operation without dangerous modes and necessity to maintain the required speed of the synchronous machine rotation.
