FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: initial billet is machined over the outer surface after thermal processing. Then, the first radial reduction is performed to get the forged piece for its intermediate thermal treatment. Then, through bore is drilled in said forged piece to machine its outer surface. Produced forged piece is subjected to second radial reduction and, then, to machining.
EFFECT: lower metal input, reduced machining steps and machining volume.
