FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (PDT) is conducted. Administering a photosensitiser into lacunas is preceded by administering 10% aqueous N-acetylcystein in an amount of 2 ml per 1 tonsil. A solution exposure length makes 30-40 minutes. That is followed by conducting the antimicrobial photodynamic therapy of the tonsils. Thereafter, a probiotic suspension containing at least 107 CFU of probiotic cultures in 1 ml is instilled into each accessible lacuna. The conducted treatment is followed by rinsing oral pharynx with the above probiotic suspension once a day for 2-3 weeks.
EFFECT: higher clinical effectiveness and prevented recurrences ensured by decomposition of bacterial film, which is followed by transformation of a pathogenic flora of the tonsils into a planktonic form and becomes accessible for laser exposure accompanying the PDT with fast recovery of saprophytic flora and formation of new biofilms.
