METHOD FOR CORRECTION OF POSTURAL DISORDERS IN ACUTE STROKE Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2572160 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: mechanotherapy is used to form mechanisms of the supraspinal control of locomotion and reduce dynamic stiffness in m.tibialias and m.gastrocnemius accompanied by a compensatory increase in flexibility in m.gastrocnemius. That is ensured by stimulating step zones of the foot by means of the Korvit apparatus in the slow-pace mode at 75 steps a minute with a pneumatic cell pressure of 40 kPa. The stimulation procedure is performed for 20 min 2 times a day 5 times a week. The therapeutic course is three weeks.

EFFECT: method provides the highest possible effectiveness of the correction of postural disorders at the early stage of the disease by forming an activation pattern including primary and secondary sensorimotor regions responsible for locomotion control, and respectively improving mechanisms of the supraspinal control of locomotion with eliminating the negative body response to the exposure.
