FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of processing the noise emission signal of an object comprises receiving a time sequence of a noise emission signal; sampling the received time sequence; assembling a first time sequence of readings; performing spectral analysis based on fast Fourier transform; consecutive accumulation of spectra and presentation on an indicator; storing the first spectrum; determining the correlation coefficient between the first received spectrum and each subsequent accumulated spectrum; storing correlation coefficients during each subsequent accumulation, when the correlation coefficient decreases, making a decision to change the stationarity of arrival of noise emission spectra of the object and selecting the number of accumulations for which the maximum correlation coefficient is provided.

EFFECT: automatic determination of change of stationarity of the noise process at the input of a receiving device when receiving a noise emission signal.
