SUBSTANCE: method of classifying noisy objects comprises receiving noise emission signals; performing spectral analysis of the received noise emission signals; determining a cross spectrum; determining an autocorrelation function; the noise-emission signal is received by one antenna; performing consecutive setting of temporal realisations; allocating the cross section between consecutive sets of temporal realisations; accumulating the allocated consecutive cross spectra; determining an autocorrelation function from the accumulated cross spectrum; determining the number of noise emission sources from the type of the autocorrelation function, and in the presence of one noise emission source, classifying the noisy object based on the classification features used.

EFFECT: high probability of correct classification of detected noise emission sources.
