FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetostriction ceramic material based on lanthanum-strontium manganite obtained by method of powder metallurgy, that can be used in different areas of technique, for example, during manufacturing of extra-sensitive sound receivers, in valves, flowmeters, delay lines of sound and electric signals etc. The suggested material based on lanthanum-strontium manganite with manganese replacement by nickel has significant magnetostriction constant achieved in relatively weak fields (below 4 kE) and stable in temperature range from 12°C to 36°C. Material has the following chemical formula: La0.70Sr0.30Mn0.95Ni0.05O3.
EFFECT: products out of the said material are characterized with maximum longitudinal magnetostriction constant, at that in work temperature range from 12 to 36 degrees the magnetostriction constant varies insignificantly.
