FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of growing sugar beet roots on low-humus sod-podzolic soils of the Chuvash Republic, and comprises minimum tillage based on different-depth disking and shallow ploughing of preceding crop to a depth of 6-10 cm with BDM-6 and PLL-10-25; pre-sowing cultivation by 8-10 cm with a cultivator KBM-10,8; sowing with combined seeding unit Amazone; pre-sowing treatment of sugar beet seeds with water solutions of Baikal EM 1 at a concentration of 0.005%, Zircon at a concentration of 0.00048%, and Epin at a concentration of 0.0005% and spraying with working solutions of regulators of plant growth and development at the rate of 300 l/ha in the stage of 4-5 pairs of true leaves, and in closing of the leaves of sugar beet plants in rows; hoeing between the rows twice and treatment with herbicides "Betanal Trio" (1.2 l/ha) + "Caribou" (30 g/ha), "Betaren" Express AM or "Panthera" at a dose of 1.0 l/ha and "Lorneta" 0.3 l/ha; fractional application of mineral fertilisers in doses of N60P60K60 and N60P30K30 at sowing and before the first inter-row cultivation, respectively.

EFFECT: invention enables to improve germinating energy, germinating capacity, to accelerate the growth processes, the rate of the phenophases, and to obtain stable high yield of sugar beet roots on low-humus sod-podzolic soils, while maintaining 17-18 percent content of sucrose in them.
