SUBSTANCE: method of promoting the growth and development of carrot involves the treatment of seeds before sowing by soaking and the treatment of vegetative plants during development by spraying with a biologically active substance. The treatment of vegetative plants is carried out at least twice: the first - during the phase of 3-4 leaves; the second - at the beginning of root crops ripening. As the active substance, the 0.003% aqueous solution of pectin extracted from Sosnovsky hogweed (Heracleum sosnowskyi) is applied, the substance flow rate being 400 l/ha.

EFFECT: increasing germination and seed germination rate, increasing yield and fruit quality, increasing plant vitality, increasing preservation of root crops during winter storage.
