FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: individual implant for replacement of postoperative mandibular defects is made of biotolerant yttrium oxide stabilised zirconium dioxide by computer-based milling; it represents a master copy of a pre-excised mandibular fragment, has sleeves from both sides with axial bores shaped as a jaw, 20 to 35 mm deep, to fix the mandibular fragments limiting the postoperative defect. The parameters of outer surfaces of the end sleeves are determined individually; a chamfer is formed to make the implant pass smoothly into the mandibular fragments.
EFFECT: restoring the continuity of the excised lower jaw by means of the bioinert structure shaped as an original one; more precise procedure of implant production and lower risk of implant rejection.
