FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: lubricating device contains a lubricating element in form of a pinion, its teeth are made out of pressed lubricant, being in passive engagement with the lubricated tooth-wheel of the gearing. The side surfaces of the pinion teeth along the teeth height are made with variable width changing from maximum in area of the teeth base and their tips to minimum in area of pole of teeth engagement in proportion to change of sliding speed along the side surfaces of teeth. Width change of these surfaces is made symmetrically relatively to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the side surfaces of teeth.
EFFECT: optimisation of mass transfer of lubricant from the lubricating element to the lubricated surfaces.
