FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel consists of body 1 and rim with teeth 2 provided with lubricant retainers composed of flanges 5 arranged along lateral surfaces 3, at tooth ends. Said flanges are shifted from said lateral surfaces toward mirror axes of the teeth. Said shift increases from minimum to maximum in both directions from pitch point in direct proportion to sliding friction in said directions.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of teeth.
