FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel consists of body (1) and gear rim with teeth (2). Lubricant retaining pockets in the form of flanges (4), the width of which increases from the top of teeth towards their bases directly proportional to the amount of lubricating material displaced on them are located along working surfaces (3) of teeth (2) and flush with them. Flanges of adjacent teeth in the area of cavities of the teeth are closed between each other.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing wear resistance of working surfaces of the wheel teeth.
