FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Claimed process consists in supply of discharge voltage to the engine cathode and anode after termination of cathode heating, engine valves opening and starting pulses feed, not before the supply of said pulses. Note here that current rush in the engine discharge circuit is decreased almost to its complete elimination as well as in plasma engine primary supply bus of conversion and control systems.

EFFECT: decreased load at functional elements of electric power supply system and plasma engine conversion and control systems.
