FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of electric propulsion systems in spacecraft and is intended for its testing for electromagnetic compatibility with information onboard systems, for example for noise immunity of the SC on-board computer system. In the method of testing electromagnetic compatibility of an electric propulsion system with information onboard systems of a space object including at the preliminary stage of firing trials of an electic propulsion engine measurement of amplitude-frequency characteristic of the discharge current variable component in its anode-cathode circuit in the range of conductive interference and further reproduction at the final stage of tests of this amplitude-frequency characteristics of discharge current variable component in the same range in a standard electric propulsion engine with evaluation of influence of the said noise at operation of onboard systems, at the preliminary stage of firing trials of electric propulsion engines simultaneously with measurement of amplitude-frequency characteristic of the discharge current variable component in its anode-cathode circuit in the range of conductive noise parameters are measured of the constant and the variable components of the discharge current in the range of amplitude-frequency characteristics of inductive noise of each of the standard electric propulsion engines of the electric propulsion system in each mode of their operation. They are saved and then at the final stage of the tests all the above said characteristics of the discharge current are restored for each of the standard electric propulsion engine in each mode of its operation. Herewith absence of faults in the operation of information onboard systems of the space object proves the electromagnetic compatibility of the electric propulsion system with the information onboard systems of the space object. Invention also relates to a system of recording and playback of characteristics of the discharge current of electric propulsion engines.
EFFECT: technical result of the group of inventions is expansion of functional capabilities of testing electric propulsion engines for electromagnetic compatibility, improved reliability of tests results and full automation of the testing procedures.
