FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composite material for vibration and acoustic protection includes a matrix based on a rubber-like material and filler.As the filler ultradispersed carbon nanofibres or nanotubes, or ultradispersed carbon nanoparticles or combinations thereof are used. The diameter of each of the said types of the filler is less than 1 mcm, and the volume content of the filler in the composite material ranges from 0.01 to 45%. The optimum content of the filler in the composite material is determined using a relationship expressed by formula
A method of producing the said composite material is also disclosed.
EFFECT: high coefficient of mechanical losses of the rubber-like material, as well as high heat resistance and wear resistance thereof due to the formation of a spatial rigid heat-conducting reinforcing mesh structure in the material.
