The household device includes heating coil intended to heat liquid, heating element powered on selective base by a switch and intended to heat liquid, and a monitoring device intended to monitor operation of the heating coil. The monitoring device monitors at least one current potential inside the heating coil. Alternatives of the method to monitor heating coil of the household appliance are also specified.

EFFECT: invention allows higher reliability for monitoring heating coil of the household appliance.
