FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: composition contains an auxiliary ingredient and a population of particles in the form of low-permeability microcapsules. The microcapsules contain a soluble or oil-dispersible core material or wall material at least partially surrounding the core material. The microcapsule core material contains a material selected from a group consisting of a dye, fragrant, flavourant, sweetener, oil, herbicide, fertiliser, easy phase change materials, adhesive and distribution modifier, where the distribution modifier is isopropyl myristate. The microcapsule wall material contains a reaction product of a first composition in the presence of a second composition, which contains an anionic emulsifier and water, where the first composition contains a reaction product of an oil-dispersible or soluble amine, which is aminoalkyl acrylate or aminoalkyl methacrylate, with a multifunctional acrylate or methacrylate monomer or oligomer, oil-soluble acid or initiator, and the anionic emulsifier contains a water-soluble or water-dispersible copolymer of acrylic acid and acrylic ester, alkali and alkali salt and, optionally, an aqueous phase initiator. At least 75% of the microcapsules are characterised by breaking strength ranging from about 0.2 MPa to about 30 MPa. Also described is a method of preparing a personal hygiene composition and a method of treating and/or cleaning an application site.

EFFECT: reducing leakage of microcapsule core material in personal hygiene compositions when using isopropyl myristate as a distribution modifier.
