FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a microcapsule comprising a core of a hydrophobic material containing at least one flavour or fragrance and a microcapsule shell obtained by the slurry polymerization of the following monomers: (a) one or more C1-C24 alkyl esters of (meth) acrylic acid (monomer A), (b) one or more bi- or polyfunctional monomers (monomer B), and (c) optionally one or more other ethylene-unsaturated monomers (monomer C). Herewith the shift speed to obtain the emulsion is in the range of 150 to 500 rpm and the duration of mixing to obtain the emulsion is in the range of 15 to 180 min, and to obtain the emulsion a stirring blade of the anchor-type or a mixer MIG© are used, and the average diameter of the microcapsules is in the range of 10 to 60 microns. A method of producing microcapsules, compositions for the care of textiles or household use, and the application of microcapsules in the composition for washing or in the cosmetic composition are also described.
EFFECT: providing microcapsules with an average diameter of 10-60 mcm with a low value of the flavour loss parameter.
