SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and can be used during bottom tapping of molten metal from the metallurgical chamber during the metal making process. Under the method the molten metal is tapped through the tapping hole in the metallurgical chamber, and during tapping the flow of the molten metal in the metallurgical chamber is ensured by the time-varying electromagnetic field applied to the metallurgical chamber; wherein the said flow of the molten metal during tapping continuously moves vortices in the molten metal from the tapping hole zone, and prevents the accumulation of vortices and vortex generation above the tapping hole.
EFFECT: invention decreases and prevents vortex generation in the molten metal in case of its bottom tapping from the metallurgical chamber.
