FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of paints, plastics, pigments for paper coating. Method for obtaining water suspensions with high content of solid substance includes provision of, at least, one mineral material, obtaining water suspension, containing said mineral material, milling mineral material and concentration of suspension with fast cooling. Dispersant is introduced into suspension before stage of milling, or gradually before and in the course of stage of milling, or before and in the course of and/or after stage of milling. Dispersant is selected from the group, containing homopolymers or copolymers of polybasic carboxylic acids, such as acrylic, methacrylic acids or maleic acid and/or their partly or completely neutralised salts, or derivatives of such acids, polyphosphates of alkali metals or their mixtures. Final content of solid substance of water suspension, obtained after stage of suspension concentration with fast cooling, constitutes form 80 to 85 wt %.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase content of mineral substance in suspension.
