FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: sealing system contains elastomer element (500) and thermoplastic element (600). The elastomer sealing element (500) is held in socket (400) only with the help of the thermoplastic element (600) and special shape of the socket (400) of said elements located in the seat (200). Perimeter of the sealing element (500) is in contact only with the thermoplastic element (600) and with internal edges of the socket (400). The socket (400) contains first socket (405), having, in essence, rectangular cross-section, opened at front, and intended to receive the thermoplastic element (600). The first rounded area (404) of the socket connects the first socket (405) with, essentially, bottom edge (403). The second rounded area (402) of the socket connects the bottom edge (403) with end area (401), its direction creates acute angle with direction of the bottom area (403). There is ball valve comprising said sealing system.
EFFECT: improved service life of the sealing system due to position stabilization of the sealing element.
