FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing of valves used in oil and gas industry, in particular, but not necessarily, to ball valves operating at medium and high pressure. Seal element (31) is arranged with radial clearance in first seat (31A) so that in respect to seat (30) sealing element (31) is arranged freely in direction parallel to central axis (A), when said seat (30) is installed in valve body (20) and through said seat (30) inside it fluid medium under pressure passes, wherein sealing assembly (101, 102) comprises anti-extrusion means, in order to avoid extrusion of sealing element (31) from said first seat (31A) during the opening of said valve.
EFFECT: said sealing assembly provides exceptional sealing characteristics at low and medium pressures owing to the use of a sealing element made from thermoplastic material, and completely eliminates shortcomings, which are inherent to sealing assembly of known type.
